New Threads, my Final Major Project at University, is a phygital "create-yourself" crochet brand, utilising digital fashion innovations to bring the traditional craft of crochet into the future. With distinctive and unique crochet patterns aimed at Gen-Z consumers, the brand uses a digital-physical blended brand model to reach media-desensitised consumers and technology to empower the craft. "Pick up the hook, learn a new skill, and keep the craft alive". This project was shortlisted for the Graduate Fashion Foundation 2024 New Business Award, Graduate Fashion Foundation 2024 Fashion Communication Portfolio Award and the Arts University Bournemouth Enterprise Award where it won runner-up.
